Superman Fan Art Imagines Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi as the Man of Steel

Rumors of Jacob Elordi playing Superman have multiple digital artists imagining the Euphoria star in the role.

It’s a matter of time before the next live-action Superman flies back onto the big screen, but the biggest question that fans have is who will wind up playing the famous superhero. Many fans of Henry Cavill have been holding out hope for a Man of Steel sequel, though there hasn’t been any indication that such a project is in consideration at Warner Bros. Meanwhile, Cavill has been keeping himself busy with other major roles as the star of The Witcher along with roles in the upcoming films Enola Holmes 2 and Argylle.

There has also been talk of rebooting the Superman movie series with writer Ta-Nehisi Coates while Michael B. Jordan is developing a separate limited series for HBO Max following the Val-Zod incarnation of the character. In any case, it’s not entirely clear what is coming next for Superman and which actors would be in consideration to play the next big screen version. Many fans have been throwing support behind Euphoria and The Kissing Booth actor Jacob Elordi, so much so that digital artists BFHDesign and SPDRMNKYXXIII have both created their own fan art depicting what the fantasy casting would look like.

Along with Henry Cavill, other famous actors to have played Superman on the big screen include George Reeves, Christopher Reeve, and Brandon Routh. On the small screen, Tyler Hoechlin has been portraying the Arrowverse’s incarnation of Superman as one of the co-stars of the hit series Superman & Lois. The superhero has also been played by Tom Welling (Smallville) and Dean Cain (Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman).

Jacob Elordi Sees His Days as Numbered on HBO’s Euphoria

Jacob Elordi has been a standout performer on Euphoria, but the actor does not see the series as a long-term role for his career. He feels that he’s starting to age out of convincingly portraying teenage characters, as the 24-year-old told Variety in April.

“I’d like to see him come of age because I think I’m getting old. I fear I’m growing too old for high school,” he said.

Euphoria has already been renewed for a third season, so we know that Elordi will spend at least one more season in that role. The actor has not had conversations with Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, but he does have an idea in mind for what might end up happening with his character, Nate, following his high school graduation.

“I think he has a farm, he just leaves it all behind and starts making his own goods… out of hemp,” Elordi explained. “I haven’t had any conversations with him. My only hope is that maybe I don’t have to walk silently down a high school hallway again, I’m aging.”

Elordi can be seen in the first two seasons of Euphoria which can be found streaming on HBO Max.
