Jurassic World: Dominion TV Spot Brings Humanity to the Edge of Extinction

Posted 2022/04/20 4 0

We’re on the verge of extinction in the latest TV spot for the highly anticipated monster-movie sequel, Jurassic World Dominion. Life may stop finding a way, for humanity at least, as the footage unleashes the dinosaurs upon the world, bringing both the heroes and villains from the Jurassic World and the Jurassic Park franchise together at last.

Released courtesy of the official Twitter account of Jurassic World Dominion, the TV spot once again teases a globe-hopping adventure, as the likes of Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, and most excitingly, Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant, Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm must do what they can to stop humanity from going extinct.

This latest footage even gives us another classic, faux-philosophical line from Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm, as he warns that the “doomsday clock may be out of time.” No doubt they will all be holding onto their butts. Yes, we know that’s Samuel L. Jackson.

Jurassic World Dominion will pick up four years after the Lockwood estate incident at the end of the previous sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Dinosaurs now live, and hunt, alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine once and for all whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.

Jeff Goldblum Worked Hard on Ian Malcolm’s Dialogue for Jurassic World Dominion

Speaking of Jeff Goldblum and his affinity for iconic lines of dialogue, the actor has previously revealed that he had an entire book dedicated to improvisational jokes and quips — most of which he himself believes would have been irrelevant.

“I have a book!” Goldblum eagerly revealed. “Oh boy, I have a ton of them. I’ll just tell you one… We’re on a computer trying to fix something or other, and somebody says, ‘Uh-oh, it’s started flashing Error 99.’ And before Mamoudou [Athie]’s character comes in and explains, I was gonna slip in, very quickly, the line, ‘Error 99? Is it Barbara Feldon?’ Now, Barbara Feldon was an agent in Get Smart, a television series from 1962 or something, who played Agent 99. So, a lot of my ideas have to do with references that are totally irrelevant and of no interest or amusement to anybody who could possibly be watching a movie, and inappropriate to the scene. But it tickled me.”

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, who has written the screenplay with Emily Carmichael, and based on a story by Trevorrow and his writing partner Derek Connolly, Jurassic World Dominion will be the culmination of the entire Jurassic franchise. Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Daniella Pineda, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith, Omar Sy, and BD Wong, each of whom will reprise their roles from previous installments, as well as introducing newcomers Mamoudou Athie, Scott Haze, Dichen Lachman, Campbell Scott, and DeWanda Wise, Jurassic World Dominion is scheduled for theatrical release on June 10, 2022.
